High Access Elevating Working Platform Operators (IPAF PAL Licence Holders)

  • In 2005/06 otherwise avoidable falls from height accounted for 46 fatal accidents at work and around 3350 major injuries. They remain the single biggest cause of workplace deaths and one of the main causes of injury. (Reproduced from The Work at Height Regulations 2005 as amended, Health and Safety Executive, Crown Copyright).

  • The Work at Height Regulations 2005 apply to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury. They place duties on employers, the self employed and any person who controls the work of others (e.g facilities managers or building owners who may contract others to work at height) to the extent they control the work.

  • Safety legislation demands that you are properly trained in the operation of mobile elevating working platforms before you may use them in your work. All our users have attended IPAF training courses conforming with the British and International standards BSEN 280, ISO DIS 16368 and in accordance with ISO 18878:2004.

  • Howes Property Services have many years of experience working and operating at height. We are the preferred choice of operators amongst many of the leading Access Hire specialists in our region. We are able to source, supply and operate a vast range of equipment to suit individual projects from small scissor lifts to high reach articulated booms.
